When you are a regular blogger like me, question is WHAT TO BLOG ABOUT?
Usually I blog about whatever’s going on and my idea about it.
But sometimes you run out of ideas and need a different topics than the usual.
When it comes to finding GOOD topics, one can always read articles, news, blogs and other sources to find what THEY are blogging about, and there is another really helpful source called QUORA.
I wrote a blog “Things I wish I knew in my 20s” because I saw a question on quora, “What are the things you wish you knew in your 20s?” Instead of writing really long answers, I wrote a blog.
Similarly there are so many questions you can get on quora which QUORA chooses for you based on your previous answers or based on what you research about.
Now for example there is a parenting blog, which posts about parenting stuff all day long, eventually they run out of ideas but since they use quora and answer questions related to parenting on it, quora will request answers from them regarding their topics of expertise, they can answer it there too but writing about it will eventually boost more ideas in their brains.
I wanted to get topics so I grabbed an issue of the economist and chose 100 words I will research about and than write a 500 word blog about. Sometimes I read bloomberg and sometimes even daily Pakistani newspapers like the news and dawn to BLOG!
People who are not regular bloggers will not get this, but when you are a regular blogger, you desperately hunt for ideas and something to give you a creative boost to blog about.
Second thing is, VIDEO. I am not interested in making videos but honestly we live in the video and youtube generation. People would rather watch a video than read! So its better to make videos to make your blog better! I saw on fiverr people actually giving away their “service” of creating articles into small video scripts for 5 usd! This shows how videos can boost up a blog.
